The San Bernadino County Sheriff's Department has now said that the charred remains found in the burned out Sherman Oaks cabin where former LAPD officer, Christopher Dorner was hiding have been positively identified as those of Dorner.
A spokesman for the California based law enforcement agency, which lost one of it's deputies during a tense shootout with the former Naval officer, made the announcement almost 30 minutes ago.
This a breaking news item and will be updated as information becomes available.
