21st Special tactics Squadron Loses Senior Airman in Afghanistan

The Department of Defense announced Friday, the death of a Pope Air Force Base airman who died supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Senior Airman Mark Forester was killed while conducting combat operations in Uruzgan province, Afghanistan on September 29, 2010, The DOD press release stated.

Forester,29, a Tuscaloosa, Alabama native was assigned to the 21st Special Tactics Squadron at Pope Air Force Base, N.C., according to the Air Force Special Operations Command public affairs office at Hurlburt Field, Fla.
