BREAKING NEWS: Shooting Near Ashby MARTA Station Critically Injures One

A late night shooting at a Northwest Atlanta MARTA station is currently under investigation by Atlanta police.


Investigators say an unidentified male got out of a black sedan at the Ashby MARTA station at the intersection of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive tonight and opened fire hitting a man and a nearby MARTA bus.

One of the bullets ricocheted and hit the windshield of a woman's car more than a block away slightly injuring her.

The injured man, whose identity has not been released, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition is listed as critical. No arrests have been made at this time and no motive in the shooting has been released.
