New Jersey To Feel Irene's Fury Too

While Hurricane Irene's path remains uncertain on Wednesday, the state Office of Emergency Management has advised New Jersey residents to prepare—top off your gas tanks, stock up on canned goods, batteries, other necessities and tune in for weather updates—for the storm, which forecasters are saying will affect the entire eastern seaboard from South Carolina to Massachusetts.
Irene, the Atlantic’s first major hurricane of the 2011 season, intensified into a well-organized category 3 system today and forecast models are now predicting that she will make landfall along North Carolina’s Outer Banks Saturday before moving up the East Coast on Sunday....FULL ARTICLE
