Residents in one North Carolina town oppose the placement of a Soup Kitchen in their neighborhood.
Montrio Belton, who lives in the Paradise community, told Newschannel 36 Charlotte that he fears having a soup kitchen in the neighborhood would hurt property values. Belton said, "It does sometimes introduce other elements to the community and that's what our concern is."
Wendy Chrisley, a resident who volunteers in Paradise said, "There's a lot of kids here and a lot of foot traffic in the area. Just by putting it here, you’re endangering children who are walking." ...MORE
